WASHINGTON, D.C. (KELO.com) — South Dakota’s Congressional delegation has united to fight proposed changes to postal processing centers in the state.
Senators Thune and Rounds, along with Representative Johnson oppose shifting distribution activities from Huron to Fargo…and from Sioux Falls to Omaha in a proposed cost cutting move.
Todd West, the President of the South Dakota Postal Workers’ Union is concerned about the proposed changes.
He says it could cut the quality of service, and delay may delivery in the state…
On Friday the Congressional delegation sent a letter to the Postmaster General to reconsider the plan.
